“A Perfect Life” San Diego Utility Box Art

This is located on Montezuma and College in the SDSU area. As part of a school-sponsored project, I worked with a local artist and friend to put together a bold utility box. The challenge to this project was doing something graphic, eye-catching and recognizable from afar.
We chose sugar skulls as our subject, and focused on aspects of a “perfect life”: endless fortune, good health, and eternal love, detailing each skull uniquely to match its message.
After six solid days of work, innovation and collaboration with my fellow artist Elayna Warren, I feel we brought a little joy to the streets of San Diego, and I learned so much when it comes to street art and enamel paint.
